Pomegranate Cranberry Sauce

Pomegranate Cranberry Sauce

How about some Pomegranate Cranberry Sauce for your Thanksgiving festivities? One of the most forgotten items on the table, yet for me, the most crucial. Love me some cranberry sauce on top of that turkey. Especially when all the dark meat is gone and that dry flavorless breast is all that is left. Enter: flavor-saving Pomegranate Cranberry Sauce.

Okay, okay…a few things. We are officially in San José to spend some much needed time with family. Today will be a lot of errands, and baking, and assimilating to the fact that I’m finally taking a break. The last few weeks have been a lot of me trying my hardest to remember to breathe. Not an easy task. I’ve been running on fumes just to get here.

I’m my own department of one at my day job, so I had to make sure one month’s work was done in two and a half weeks. Then, I’ve been stocking up on recipes so that I’m still posting regularly. Why? BECAUSE I LOVE IT. There is just something so lovely about this place for me. Plus, I mean, Christmas cookies! On top of that was getting all my custom cake orders and the like made/delivered/satisfied. And, when I had a few extra seconds to myself, I spent them e-mailing and planning my February 3rd cake workshop!

So many amazing brands are partnering with me to create this event and I am just overwhelmed with JOY. Tickets will go on sale the beginning of December. I’ll make sure you guys are the first to know! I’ll only have 15 spots open, so be sure to register right away if you plan on joining the fun!

Might I add, this would be an amazing Christmas gift?!!

Now you might see now why It’s going to take me a bit to unwind from the whirlwind that is my life (and will continue to be my life when I get back). So today, I’ll be unwinding the only way I know how. I’ll settle into some comfy clothes, turn on the holiday Hallmark movies that my mother-in-law has no doubt recorded for me, and bake, bake, bake away. Yes, girl. YES.

First on the list is a funfetti cake with a chocolate whipped buttercream for my Father-in-law’s belated birthday. It’s really the only way to celebrate a birthday, ya know?

All righty—let’s wrap this up so I can get to it. Making your own cranberry sauce is almost as easy as opening a can. Dump all those amazing and not to mention FRESH ingredients into a saucepan and let medium heat do the rest. Yep, why do we even buy it when it’s literally that easy? I’ll tell you why, because we might not have any burners on the stove left! Making a Thanksgiving dinner requires a LOT of burners. But fear not, you can make this like three days ahead so…go ahead and get on it like RN!
