Dark Chocolate Coffee Truffles

This post has been sponsored by Nespresso. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Welcome to the calm of November. Sip into a relaxing moment, by yourself, with maybe only a book and a cup of coffee to keep you company. And when we find ourselves pushing our plates away at the Thanksgiving table, may they be replaced with a dark chocolate treat and a cup of premium coffee with milk swirling about. Hey, November, I see you.

I’m always amazed at how a simple Nepresso Vertuo Machine can make me as happy as it does, but here I am—screaming from the top of my lungs how thankful I am for this piece of technology. It’s something that I use every day for a moment to myself early in the morning when I’m wrapped in an oversized sweater. It’s my hygge Nordic moment. It’s something that I bring out for dinner parties. It’s my reliable barista, just sitting on my kitchen counter.

I’m bringing you a nice little palate cleanser recipe to be served after all the rich Thanksgiving food and with a cup of milky coffee. It’s just some dark chocolate, swirled with hot Vertuo coffee, a smidge of butter, and vanilla. Once it sets, we roll it into a ball and toss it in some quality cocoa powder to make a bite-sized Dark Chocolate Coffee Truffle.

You will need a generous sip of coffee after consuming. It’s the whole moment together that really brings this recipe to life. Wine and cheese, bread and butter… chocolate and a cup of coffee. These are the pairings that just need each other.

And, maybe what you need isn’t the bustle of company at your doorstep in November. Maybe what you need is a clear Saturday morning by yourself to breathe in that coldest of air and enjoy your morning cup of Vertuo. Let’s not forget to schedule those moments, too. They’re here to recharge our batteries and give us the emotional comfort that milky coffee brings.

If that’s what you need, take a look at Nespresso’s website to find your moment. Or, for that matter, your holiday wish list.
