Matcha Chai Tea Latte

Something a little sweet, spicy, and impossibly creamy for the cooler weather. Matcha Chai Tea Latte is a great recipe to keep in your fridge as needed.

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups water

1/2 cup sugar

2 teaspoons matcha

1 teaspoon ground ginger

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

1/2 teaspoon cardamom

1 cinnamon stick

2 cups whole milk for frothing

Instructions

Place the water, sugar, matcha, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, cardamom, and cinnamon stick in a small sauce pan and mix together. Place over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Simmer together for 10 minutes and the remove from the heat to cool.

Use about 1/2 cup matcha chai mixture to 1/3 cup whole milk for each latte. Froth if desired. Add more or less milk to taste. Sprinkle top with a pinch of matcha.

Notes

Keep the matcha chai mix in fridge covered for up to 7 days.
