Primary Bedroom Makeover

This post is sponsored by my friends at Room & Board. All items were gifted. Thank you for supporting the shops that keep Olive and Artisan going!

My bedroom is my sanctuary. It’s where I start and end my day. Where I retreat when things just aren’t going my way. Where I fold laundry, call my mom, paint my nails. It’s always been my safe place.

Even when I was a kid my room was always made up of hand-me-down frames and thrifted desks. And even into adulthood I put all my focus on making sure the rooms that are seen are top billing. I forgot, that maybe, the bedroom is the most important place out of them all. A place just for me. Afterall, when your kitchen becomes your office – your living room becomes your breakroom – and the bedroom becomes your home.

And after years of a mix matched bedroom, Room & Board offered to style my new primary bedroom into sophistication. And, you guys – they really did.

We worked together on what would look best and I landed on their Grove Collection. It’s a beautiful assortment of solid cherry or walnut furniture. I decided on Walnut because it matches my beautiful walnut table and it gives warmth to a very light and airy room.

The bed is the perfect height and gives ample room for storage underneath.

The nightstands are one of my favorite pieces. Plenty of room in the drawer but also a quick access cubie for books and Chapstick. Grove comes in 3 different sized and style nightstands to choose from.

The grove dresser, SWOON! They come in 4 different sizes and heights. I chose the 72w 6 dresser and it’s perfect for holding all my jammies and holding my perfume too.

THE RUG! We must talk about this rug. It’s so squishy and feels so amazing to plant my feet on first thing in the morning. Not to mention its absolutely beautiful design. This is the Tova Rug and it’s hand knotted and tufted by Obeetee. A company in India that is not only environmentally friendly, but they pay their workers a fair wage.

The bedding – it’s the coziest. This relaxed linen duvet is heavenly and always looks so good slightly wrinkled. Not to mention this Dari Throw! Which it was really hard to choose out of all their beautiful designs. Their throws are absolutely stunning.

Thank you all for taking a little tour of my sanctuary. I hope that you feel safe and inspired in your bedrooms too. It makes a difference.
