Pancake Bread

This post has been sponsored by SideChef and Panasonic. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Okay, please please tell me you’ve had pancake bread before. It’s this super soft, loose, and buttery crumb that lives up to its namesake. And why not add a generous heaping of streusel to the top? Serve with a generous pat of butter and if you feel up to it, a drizzle of maple syrup.

This Pancake bread was made in the new Panasonic HomeChef 4-in-1 Multi-Function Microwave Oven. We’ve been going from baking to broiling to re-heating my coffee in the blink of an eye.

For this method, we are going to do a reverse baking technique. That means, instead of creaming the butter with the sugar then adding the eggs and going back and forth with the dry and wet – We are going to beat the dry ingredients with the butter until a mealy flour comes forward. This technique coats the flour helping the gluten to formulate slower when the wet ingredients are added giving the bread a nice, loose crumb. Not to mention, a butter-y crumb at that.

Find the recipe here on SideChef and get to making!

*a recipe note: If you plan on using a traditional oven, set the temperature to 350 degrees. The streusel may additionally sink down into that batter but it’s still delicious!

  1. I tried to register, but it doesn’t work. It said nothing about paying for the recipe anywhere that I could find. 🙁
